Tagged

I was tagged by my sister Deb and I decided to finally do it. I have been tagged before but I have always been lazy so I haven't done it yet. Plus, life has been pretty boring here so nothing new to blog about.

My Husband

What is his name? David
How long have you been married? almost 3 and a half
How long did you date? 6 months
How old is he? 25 going on 26 on Feb. 18
Who eats more sweets? I would say equally but it would have to be me because Dave has given up sweets for the year 2008 and he hasn't even been tempted!
Who said I love you first? He did. I quickly said it back though. He thought I just said it to say it but I walked into my apartment and burst into tears because I had never been so happy!
Who is taller? Dave.
Who can sing better? Who knows! We both are pretty bad!
Who is smarter? Hands down Dave. I am okay with that though because he is going to have to help the kids with their homework.
Who does the laundry? I do. And the sad thing is that I love it!
Who pays the bills? It is a joint effort. Dave does the credit cards on-line and I do the paper bills.
Who sleeps on the right side? This is a point of contreversy in the relationship. Dave practically never slept in the same bed his entire life so he is all for constant change. I just have this thing where I have to sleep farthest from the door. That causes switching when we sleep other places but on a night to night basis it is the same.
Who mows the lawn? Dave. I think I pushed the lawn mower around the lawn once this summer and I about died. I was taught how to mow lawns on a riding lawn mower.
Who cooks dinner? Me, usually, but we all know Dave is a better cook than I am so I let him cook whenever he wants.
Who drives? Dave.
Who is more stubborn? Dave says it is definatly me, I guess he is probably right.
Who kissed who first? Dave kissed me, but he says he only did it because I was giving him major signals. I say he just couldn't resist me.
Who asked who out first? Well, this is tough. Everything happened so fast, but our first official date was on Valentines Day and Dave asked me.
Who proposed? He did.
Who has more siblings? Dave. He wins 9 to 4.
Who wears the pants? We both do, but I do like a skirt every now and then.

There it is. I would love to hear about everyone's else husband for those that want to be tagged!

Sledding!!!

So Saturday morning, as a continuation of my birthday celebration, Dave decided to take Andrew and I for our first sledding experience. It was soooo much fun. Andrew absolutly loved it! We didn't stay long because Andrew's nose is still dripping but it was a blast.

PS- We took Andrew in to the doctor last week and his platlete count is at 31,000. Because it is going up and there is no more bruising he said that we don't have to go back to the doctor anymore. Hooray!!!

A Baby's Firsts

Every mother looks forward to a child's first. The first smile, first
laugh, first time they crawl. These following pictures are of a first
of Andrew's, not necessarily one you look forward to but is inevitable. I had just finished feeding lunch to Andrew, I got him out of the high chair and put him in the living room. I then went back into the kitchen to make him some more milk. I then heard him making his grunt sound that he makes when he his pointing, wanting something. This is what I found.

Look closely. There is a golf ball in the toilet. I guess we will be closing the bathroom door from now on!

Merry Christmas and a Sick New Year!

Sorry my Christmas update has taken so long to come. Here is the story. Dave and I flew to Texas on Christmas Eve. The flight was great and so was our trip. We spent the week with my parents, Andrew loved all the extra attention. Then we loaded up in the car that Friday and drove to Houston to visit my sisiter Debbie and brother Matt and corresponding families. It was fun and crazy. I did get to play Wii for the first time. Lets just say that I beat Dave at bowling, I was pretty proud of myself. We then drove back to Dallas. We rang in the New Year and then got ready to fly back to good old Utah. This is where things went down hill. 1-Our flight left at 9:50PM. Don't ever leave that late when you have an 11 month old. 2-Our flight was delayed about an hour, we sat in the waiting room for a while and then on the plane, waiting for another flight attendent. 3-I started to feel sick. I had just gotten a cold but I was getting really hot. 4-Andrew would not nurse because of the intense heat radiating off my body. After about an hour of crying I just laid him on my lap and he finally fell asleep. So Andrew and I have been sick for the last week and we are finally feeling better. When I came home I found out that I had 102.5 temperature. It has been a long time since I had a fever. It is not fun!

For Cousin Corah

Last Tuesday we went to Dave's sister, Kristy's house for the Cousins Christmas Party. All of the Clawson cousins draw names and get each other presents. This is a picture of Andrew with his first Christmas present, a Build a Bear Dog. He loves it. It is one of the first stuffed animals that he wants to play with. This is Andrew feeding his dog a cookie, he did it first without prompting but I asked him to do it for the picture. We are trying to teach him to share because it is hard when he is the only child and you expect his cousins to share with him, he needs to know how to share too. Thanks Corah for the doggie, he loves it!

Quick Update

Hey everyone. I just wanted you to know that Andrew had another doctor's appointment yesterday. All is going well. His platelete count is up to 28000. Because it is going up naturally and nothing is bleeding uncontrollably they are going to keep him off the medicine. It was good to talk to the doctor, she seemed really up beat and positive about Andrew's progress. As long as nothing goes wrong we don't have to go back to get him tested until the first week in Jan. When we do go back we will be able to go to a local hospital or doctor's office to get the blood test and then they will just fax the info up to Primary Children's. I am happy not to take the drive again anytime soon! (This is Andrew on his walker. He can use it just fine but gets so mad when you try to put him on it. He has fallen on his bum a couple of times and can't seem to forget it!)
