Pictures, finally!

This is a picture of Andrew during the West Jordan cook-off we ran. I think this is his first time to fall dead asleep in public. Lets just say that people were constantly walking past him and he stayed asleep, he was so tired!

This is front of the gift shop at the MGM Grand.

This is at the rainforest cafe giftshop. He loved the animals because they are animated and make animal noises.

This is at FAO Schwartz. Dave decided that it was finally time to put Andrew where he belonged, with the monkeys!

Viva Las Vegas!

Dave, Andrew, and I went on our first family vacation this weekend. We drove to Las Vegas. It was fun and a good learning experience for our up coming vacation to California. We arrived in Vegas at about 10 pm on Friday night and we went straight to Janet's house. She so kindly let us stay in her home while they are partying in Hawaii. We didn't do too much but we hit some of our favorites that we thought Andrew would like. We went to the M&M factory, saw the lions at the MGM, visited the Rainforest Cafe, and walked around New York, New York casino. We then went back to Janet's house and let Andrew take a nap. That evening we went the aquariums at Silverton Casino, to Ceasers Palace and got some cheesecake, visited FAO Schwartz, and then walked over to the Bellagio to watch the fountains. Andrew loved all the lights and could hardly take it all in. I have some way cute pictures, mostly of Andrew but much to my frustration, my camera will not download to the computer. I think I am going to have to reload the program onto the computer or something. Look for pictures soon.

The Perfect Baby

Okay, there are bad days but when the perfect day comes along I just can't help but smile. Today was one of those days. When he woke up Dave brought him to me and sat him in the bed next to me while I slowly woke up. It was sooo nice not to nurse him right away. He then took a 1 1/2 hour nap in the morning and a 1 hour 45 minute nap in the afternoon. We ran errands in the middle of those naps and he supplied no complaints. When he was awake he just wanted to sit and play, he has even figured out how to "cover" his eyes himself to play peek-a-boo. Don't worry, I will get a video of it soon because it is just darling. To end the perfect day, I layed him down and Dave and I went to the backyard. When we came back in I made Dave check on him and he was still awake, as happy as could be playing with is blanket. Now here is the good part I haven't heard from him since. I love that boy!

3 Year Wedding Anniversary!

Today is Dave and I's wedding anniversary. I can't believe that it has been three years. It has gone by so fast, but on the other hand I can't really remember not being married. I can't say that today was the best day in the book but in the end it turned out good. I gave Dave his presents last night, I am so bad at keeping secrets/surprises. I bought him two X-box games and a book. I think he liked them. I told him I want to take him shopping for a Braves hat too, but he needed to come with me because I have no idea what size his head is. This morning Dave went to work and I struggled to stay sane with Andrew, the no nap baby. Luckily I had a break in the day when Dave and I went to lunch. That is when Dave gave me half of my present. I asked for a pedicure, he went above and beyond by buying me a massage pedicure at the salon in Lehi. I have pretty bad RLS and I love to have my calves massaged. He then told me that he was going to by me "Eclipse" but since it came out today it was sold out at midnight every where. Yes, I know so far that the days seems to be going well, but this is were it falls apart. Dave goes back to work and a couple of hours later calls to tell me that our baby sitters have fallen through because they both had to work late (out of respect and love for these baby sitters they will remain nameless). Thank goodness for a good friend and old roommate, Jamie and Scott Winkler came through and watched Andrew. We had a great dinner and were able to do some shopping. A whirlwind weekend in Las Vegas will hopefully sum up this anniversary as a success!
